Brief Profile

Dr. Rakesh Kumar Agrawal is a highly experienced Radiation Oncologist with more than 25 years of expertise in treating cancer patients using modern radiotherapy techniques. He has worked with some of India’s most reputed cancer hospitals and has played a key role in establishing and leading advanced radiation oncology departments.

Dr. Agrawal completed his MBBS from S.S. Medical College, Rewa (M.P.) and pursued his MD in Radiotherapy from Pt. JLN Medical College, RCC Raipur, becoming the first MD candidate from the institute. Over his career, he has gained hands-on experience in advanced technologies such as IMRT, IGRT, VMAT, Stereotactic Radiotherapy, and HDR Brachytherapy.
Before joining Andromeda Cancer Hospital, he served as HOD and Senior Consultant at Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital, Pune. He also held senior positions at Apollo Hospitals, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, and Asian Institute of Medical Sciences, among others.

A strong believer in patient-centric care, Dr. Agrawal combines precision medicine with compassion. His experience in project development and department set-up has been instrumental in shaping cancer care facilities from the ground up.
