Brief Profile

Dr. Aashish Gambhir is an experienced Nuclear Medicine Physician with over 13 years of experience in the field. He is trained extensively and actively participating in Multiple Molecular Imaging modalities including Gamma camera scintigraphy/Conventional Nuclear Medicine, PET-CT imaging, PET-MRI imaging, Radionuclide therapy & Nuclear Theranostics / Nuclear oncology and is also a Practicing Thyroidologist.
He holds an MBBS from prestigeous Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC, New Delhi) / LNJP Hospital and completed his DRM (Diploma in Radiaiton Medicine) from Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences, INMAS, New Delhi follwed by DNB in Nuclear Medicine from Apollo Hospitals, Chennai. Additionally, he is a AERB certified Radiation Safety Officer RSO level II and III (Nuclear Medicine Therapy). He is one of the very few NM Physicians in the country with training and experience with PET MRI based molecular imaging.
Prior to joining Andromeda Cancer Hospital, he has served as Consultant, Nuclear Medicine at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, Delhi and as SR-cum-Research cordinator in PET MRI suite, Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi. He has also served as Head of Nuclear Medicine Department at Yashoda hospitals, Ghaziabad in addition to consultant roles at HOD, Faridabad, Ganesh Diagnostics, Rohini and Narula Diagnostics, Rohtak.
Dr. Aashish Gambhir specializes in day-to-day molecular imaging needs of oncological and non-oncological practice with keen interest in using PET CT / PET MRI with newer tracers such as FAPI, Tivehexin, exendin etc in addition to advancements in Nuclear Theranostics / Therapies for various cancers such as Radio-iodine for thyroid cancer, PRRT for NET, PSMA therapy / PRLT for prostate cancer and FAPI therapy for various malignancies.
He works meticulously with multidisciplinary teams to deliver personalized care and stays abreast of the latest advances in cancer diagnosis and treatment.
He is also a exexcutive committe member of Northern chapter of Society of Nuclear Medicine, India and is actively engaged in research, education, and awareness initiatives focused on breast cancer.
