BRIEF PROFILE
Dr. Arun Kumar Goel is one of the leading surgical oncologists of northern India with more than 35 years of surgical experience. Dr. Arun Kumar Goel is an alumnus from AIIMS, New Delhi. He received his surgical oncology training at Dr. BR Ambedkar Institute Rotary Cancer Hospital, AIIMS.
He has been in practice for more than 25 years and has been associated with some of the leading oncology hospitals in Delhi & NCR. Prior to joining us, he was Senior Director, Surgical Oncology at Max Superspecialty Hospital, Vaishali & Patparganj (Breast & GI Oncology). He has been associated with Northern Railway Central Hospital as a visiting consultant in Surgical Oncology from 2005 till date.
Dr. Arun Kumar Goel has multiple areas of interest in surgical oncology including breast oncology, gastrointestinal oncology, gynaecologic oncology and has been performing complex surgical procedures for nearly three decades with highly successful outcomes. He is also trained in the field of minimally invasive surgery as well as robotic surgery for cancers.
Dr. Arun Kumar Goel has been involved in academics and research from his days at AIIMS. He has more than 70 publications in various national and international journals. He has contributed chapters in textbooks of surgery and oncology. He is also a reviewer for many oncology journals.
Dr. Arun Kumar Goel is a founding member of Oncology Forum of Delhi & NCR. He is also a life member of multiple national and international professional organizations in the field of oncology.
Initiatives :
Dr. Arun Kumar Goel has been the program director for DNB Surgical Oncology training program at Max Superspecialty Hospital Vaishali from 2019 till 2023. He has been a guide and co- guide for multiple DNB thesis in Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and General Surgery.
Dr. Arun Kumar Goel is a founding trustee of Indian Anti Cancer Trust, an NGO based in Delhi & NCR. The NGO has been actively involved in cancer awareness, early detection of cancer and many such activities. It has also helped multiple cancer patients in availing of treatment within the limits of available resources.
Indian Anti Cancer Trust (IACT) has been actively involved in organizing education events in the field of breast cancer under the banner of “Focused Studies In Breast Cancer (FSIBC) from 2020 and has organized multiple webinars and conferences that have been well attended and highly appreciated.
